On July 24th I pulled myself to a standing position for the first time, and I've been doing it ever since. I, of course, am everywhere these days! Without a second thought, I can pull up, grab, smack my hands down, and command all the attention I desire. I love to pull up to the refrigerator, the tub, or just about anything. I'm also talking these days - well, not words per se, but I'm saying 'num-num-nums' when I'm hungry and still working on the 'ma-ma-ma's' and 'da-da-da's.' Here's the biggest issue - I want to put everything in my mouth - except food! At my 9 month wellness check (that's fancy for 'Doctor's Appointment') the physician told mommy and daddy that I should be eating table food almost exclusively now. So like any good mommy, mommy bought me real peaches, bananas and even cottage cheese to eat - by myself. I won't have any of it. Any time I put food into my mouth I gag and actually make myself vomit. Mommy is scared we are going to end up at the Feeding Clinic. Hopefully with a little play and getting use to, I will be eating big-people food in no time.
For Mommy and Daddy's 2nd wedding anniversary, we celebrated with a long weekend at Breezy Point with friends. The other kids called me "Baby Piers" and I had fun. On the actual day of their anniversary we went to the Woman's Club where mommy and daddy were married and took a picture. Mommy said it was special because on their 1st anniversary they went back to the Woman's Club and took a pic with me in Mommy's belly. Now this year we have the 3 of us. Later that afternoon we went to the Minnesota Zoo. I especially loved watching the Monkeys. There was a brown bear that was showing off and swimming right next to me. It was pretty cool. I giggled. I've been giggling lots lately, mommy loves it!!
I'm having so much fun getting bigger - and Mommy and Daddy are loving it, too. I'm just so full of life and personality.
