Bulldog NE

As I had to wake up early last Saturday for umpire duties, last Friday evening I was sitting patiently on the couch waiting for the night to end so I could go to sleep when my buddy Tommy D called and asked if I would like to meet him for a drink. As I was
completely bored, thirsty and had not done a thing all night, I happilyaccepted. I met Tommy D at Nye's Polonaise, but
since I was only there for about 5 minutes, there is nothing to write about. Nye's is NE Minneapolis staple and will be covered at another time.

After Nye's, Tommy D, his buddy Mike and I walked a couple of blocks to the Bulldog NE. This bar has the best selection of draft beers in town, there really are no comparisons.
Of the 25 taps, only 5 are domestic and they are delicious micro-brews, no Miller Lite except in bottles. Additionally, there are several Belgian brews on tap, and even more in bottles. I love this bar.

It is perfect for NE, and since it takes exactly 7 minutes for me to walk here, I find myself going here more and more. I have 2 complaints about this place (1) the service can be iffy, and (2) they only have some of the Belgian beer glasses. One of the reasons I enjoy drinking Belgian beer is because of the glasses. I understand their other location in Uptown has them, but not here, why????????
Although this does disappoint me, it's not going to turn me away. If your in the NE area, you should definitely stop by.
